In sum, the city flag symbolizes the Chungju citizens’ future- and world-oriented spirit, with its infinite growth potential. ‘Chung’ literally means ‘a center,’ which symbolizes the dynamic Chungju that seeks to become the center of the world and of the Korean peninsula. Therefore, the city flag is named Jungsimgi.
